The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal rules are made pursuant to section 16 of the Solicitors (Amendment) Act, 1960 and with the concurrence of the President of the High Court, with effect from 1 March 2003.
These Rules shall apply to any application made to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal after 28 February 2003 and the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Rules 1998 (dated 13 February 1998) shall, subject to the provisions of the Solicitors Acts, 1954 to 2008, continue to apply to any application made to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal prior to 28 February 2003.
